A Look at Carl F. Bucherer for Ladies Mon, 19 November 2012 21:26

Ron Stoll, President of Carl F. Bucherer NA, and his daughter Emily give Timezone an extensive introduction to the brand, including a look at the latest ladies additions in the Manero, Patravi and Alacria Diva collections.

The Manero MonoGraph is one of my favourite ladies watches of the year. This beautiful monopusher chronograph has a three-part dial with sunken mother of pearl counters under a domed sapphire crystal. A 30-minute counter is at 3 o'clock and a small seconds is at 9 o'clock. The 35 mm case is available in stainless steel or 18-carat gold, and with or without a diamond bezel. The timepiece is fitted with the Calibre CFB 1962, a hand-wound 21-jewel column wheel chronograph movement.

The Patravi BigDate features a big date and black Tahitian mother of pearl dial framed by a diamond bezel. The BigDate is fitted with the in-house Calibre CFB A1003, a hand-windable automatic movement. The manufacture movement features three patents for a peripheral rotor, a dynamic shock system and a fine adjustment system that only needs to be calibrated once.

The Alacria Diva is the brand's haute joaillerie collection. The collection features a contoured rectangular case and the two presented are the Alacria Diva gem-set with baguette diamonds and the Alacria Diva Gothic with rubies and diamonds gem-set in an Art Deco motif:

I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about. Wilde
