Opening Day at the Jaeger Le Coultre, IWC and Vacheron Constantin Boutiques at South Coast Plaza
Sun, 18 November 2012 16:03
Yesterday was opening day for the new boutiques of JLC, IWC and VC at South Coast Plaza in Southern California. This was not the official Grand Opening that is scheduled for some time in the future.
The day was very hectic but most of the boutique managers where able to take time from there opening day activities and spend a few moments talking to Timezone.
First I want to talk about the overall arrangement of the 3 in 1 boutique. Although the brands represented here are all of the Richemont family they each have separate boutiques joined together by a common hallway.
Each boutique has it's own identity which is in alignment with the brand itself. The three co-exist but it is readily apparent as you enter each one that they have their own unique style.
We started off in JLC. Store Manager James Cueva took a few moments to show us around starting with the VIP room.
Some antique watchmakers tools are part of the settings
A fragrant rose bouquet sitting on the coffee table
Here he poses in front of the vault that will be the future home of the Hybirs Mechanica Collection
James was wearing his Master Compressor Chronograph for the big event.
Here is the entrance which was very elegant.
Here are a few of the watches
A solid gold Master Control on a solid gold bracelet
They also have a large selection of Atmos Clocks
We went to VC next. We were not able to spend too much time there but they did tell us that we could come back and take photos after they have had a chance to get their feet on the ground.
I did manage to get a photo of one of my personal favorites the Overseas blue dialed chrono
Next on to IWC where we were given a by Regional Manager Arnaud Pinel.
Arnaud was an excellent host as a matter of a fact maybe too good (my partner in crime ended up making what I believe was the first purchase of the newly opened boutique-I will leave that up to that individual to share it with the forum)
IWC has crafted boutiques within the boutique to give emphasis to each of its lines
Here are a few photos to describe what I am talking about
The Da Vinci section
The Ingenieur
And of course a few of the watches
The addition of these new Luxury Boutiques is solidifying South Coast Plaza as a destination spot for watches. We may have to our own West Coast Boutique Crawl
