A special order from the Italian Army : 2500 pieces 'Zenith A.Cairelli' - Tipo CP-2
Made in 1970, only for Military use, not available for the public
Not all the 2500 went to the Italian Army.
Somebody did not pay the bills :-) And the supply stopped
So a certain part was for military use ( these with the A.M.I inscription), the rest does not have this inscription
How many have hte A.V.I inscription and how many don't, I have no idea. If somebody has the answer, please let us know
A.M.I. = Aeronautica Militare Italiana
M.M. = Marina Militare
M.M followed by a 6 digit number which was the inventory number for the Italian Army
