A quick stop at the Vacheron NYC Boutique >>> Sun, 11 November 2012 10:08 Go to previous message

Hi All,

Last week, I had the opportunity to make a quick stop at the Vacheron Constantin NY Boutique on 64th and Madison Avenue in mid-town Manhattan. Open for business, fortunately, the Boutique was not at all affected by Hurricane Sandy, nor by the nasty Nor'easter that landed the day of my visit.

Started off with an espresso...need a set of these for my home!

Looking around the boutique, decorative objects highlight how serious Vacheron is about watches and watchmaking...

A 19th century lathe...

Another 19th century watchmaking tool...

Antique pocket watch keys...

Framed, historic documents illustrating Vacheron's long history with New York City...

Vacheron's historic "Fabrique", or factory, on the Quai de L'Ile...

An elegant bookshelf with books on art, fashion, travel, and watches, of course...

A Montblanc pen made for Vacheron's 250th anniversary, on display...

An exceptional selection of watches are in stock, on display...let's take a look...

The new, blue-lacquer dial Overseas Chronograph is prominently displayed. The blue looks amazing from afar - apologies for the out of focus shot...

Patrimony Traditionelle watches...

Historiques watches...

The Les Historiques 1921 Limited Edition Boutique NY...

Patrimony Contemporaine Collection Excellence self-winding...

Patrimony Contemporaine Collection Excellence Platine pocket watch...

Ladies' 1972 pieces

Some exquisite skeleton watches...

The Métiers d'Art Les Univers Infinis Shell Watch...

Many thanks to Vacheron's Ellen Sorensen for arranging my visit.

Stay tuned for a more in-depth look at a few of these watches...I hope you enjoyed!

Best,

Paul
