SMP running fast in minutes Sat, 03 November 2012 23:33 Go to previous message

I just noticed today that my 2531.80 has been gaining time in minutes. It gained 10 minutes in over three hours tonight. I put it on this morning and thought I was crazy because I had to set it back over an hour. I just had it serviced 18 months ago through at Universal Watch in Birmingham. Any ideas as to what could be going on? I'm not an expert on movements but it's quite concerning. I'm seeing an expensive repair bill coming my way soon.

  • Sounds like it's magnetized. It's an easy fix for a good watchmaker... - Damon - Sat, 03 November 2012 23:46 (73 clicks)

  • No, it shouldn't. I'd let it wind down till you can get it to a watchmaker. [nt] - Damon - Sat, 03 November 2012 23:52 (64 clicks)
