An Evening With Montblanc!
Wed, 24 October 2012 13:20
I had a chance last night to attend a small Montblanc event to meet Alexander Schmiedt (Managing Director of Watches) and to preview some of the timepieces from 2012 SIHH.
It was a very nice evening and Mr. Schmiedt did not disappoint in his presentation of what makes Villeret so special to Monblanc (i.e. the 1/1000 of a second TimeWriter Chronographe Bi-Frequence).

Some really bad pictures of my favorite piece, the TachyDate.
At first I thought the pointer date function would be a turnoff but it dawned on me that this date implementation completely avoids the placement problem of a date window and cut-off numbers! If you want a date function on your chrono (and not all of us do) the pointer date might be worthy of consideration!
The movement is spectacular (not that you can tell from my photo!)
To get a better idea of the movement, take a look at the backside of Bob L's Villeret Pulsograph he previously posted.

I would like to thank Montblanc and the entire Montblanc team for their hospitality and for a wonderful evening.
