Girard-Perregaux Full Calendars

In general there are several things that draw us to a watch. Are we in love with the Manufacture, the aesthetics, the mechanism that powers it, the history of the watch, practicalaity of the complications, the way it makes us feel when we look at it on our wrist or one of several other factors.
For me personally several things come to play for a watch to move me. It starts with the appearance-there has to be something to call to me. After the looks get my attention I want substance, something that says I am more than just a pretty face. Lineage is nice since I am a fan of history, but not a must. A unique wrist presence is always a bonus something you don't see everyday.
So what is it that attracts me to the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Full Calendar
The simple clean calendar dial, the in house GP03300 movement and a timeless design incorporated into a modern sized 40 mm case. As far as complications go do I need a moonphase along with the month and date shown? No, but the engineer in me enjoys knowing that a time piece has the ability to mechanically perform these functions.
The 1966 Full Calendar also has options. It is available in various case materials, palladium, platinum, white and pink gold. It has multiple faces and also has a diamond bezel option.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this watch
