14 October 2012 - Breaking news from Roswell, New Mexico. Felix Baumgartner's jump from an altitude of 128,097 feet succeeded. The Austrian lands safely after a 4:19-minute freefall reaching an unofficial speed of 1137 km/h.





The first photos from today's historic 24-mile freefall jump that broke the sound barrier:
