An IWC and a mountain

Zermatt Switzerland is an amazing place. The only easy access is by train as no cars are allowed. It is unmistakably Swiss even if one ignores the Matterhorn looming above the town. Despite being relatively small and located at about 1600m in the mountains, it is home to a number of very fine watch shops. And it is a point of departure for all manner of mountain sports.
Yesterday, I was there to climb the Breithorn. To get to the starting point of the hike, one takes a series of three cable cars. These shots were taken at the third of the four stations.
And on the adjacent wall:
From the same station, this is the view of the mountain we were there to climb. Fortunately, the standard route goes up the other side. There's a lot of snow up there.
The Matterhorn is one of the most iconic mountains in the world. In addition, it makes a nice backdrop for IWC photos.
The view from the summit of the Breithorn (4164m). Not a bad way to spend a day as long as you don't fall off of the mountain.
