What do you expect to see--or would like to see--at SIHH in January?
Where do we go from here...SIHH 2012?

A huge thank you to Paul Boutros for his magnificent camera work. And to the team at Jaeger-LeCoultre for everything they do to make these reports possible.
This was yet another stellar year for Jaeger-LeCoultre. Another year of focused and confident design. When brand CEO Jerome Lambert and US President Philippe Bonay asked me what I thought of the 2012 line-up, I said the range is cohesive top to bottom, and the design details representative of a brand that knows itself.
I'll write much more in the coming weeks, but for now, let's get to the new models.
One of the stars of this year's show, the hallways were buzzing with conversation about this piece. The Duometre line continues to evolve with its most ambitious effort yet. This is the first precision-adjusted tourbillon, as the small seconds has a flyback zero reset operated by the push button in the 2 o'clock position on the case. And the dual wing separation of functionality allows for the timesetting reset to occur with precision and without affecting the operation of the tourbillon. Click here to see the watch in action.
This extraordinary piece maintains nearly the same height as the Duometre a Chronographe and the Duometre a Quantieme Lunaire, both previous winners of Timezone's Watch of the Year Award.
If this isn't impressive enough, this is a commercial piece you're seeing, and the watch is expected to start delivering in March!
Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire 40.5
Following the success of the Quantieme Lunaire, this year Jaeger-LeCoultre announced this smaller version of the watch, in rose gold. Not only was the case size reduced, but the proportions were maintained as well.
The new Master Control, which now has the 899 calibre, was reduced from 40mm
to 39mm, with dauphine hands that are brushed on one side and polished on the other.
Available in SS and Pink Gold.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reserve de Marche has been a staple in the line-up for years, and was redesigned from a 37mm to a 39mm piece. I must say, it works famously.
Available in pink gold as well
Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon
One of my favorites from the show, the simplicity of a time-only piece combined with the
gracefulness of the tourbillon.
This watch received intense raves both at the show as well as this past week on Timezone. It wears perfectly, and it's an extremely powerful watch in person. Designed from the same case as the Tribute to Deep Sea Alarm, and sharing many of its details, the Deep Sea Chronograph is a magnificent, sporty chronograph as Jaeger-LeCoultre would have seen themselves producing in the 1950s. Remarkably, this piece looks like a weekender to the Spherotourbillon. The brand truly knows its identity.
