Completing my Portuguese-line..

A while ago I finally received my new Portuguese Automatic. As it´s not that often this one is seen out here, I thought I´d share some pictures.
This is the Portuguese IW5001-04 (Calibre 50010), which means it´s the Limited Edition, made in 950 Platinum and produced in a total of 500 pieces.
I´ve always had a soft spot for the IWC Portuguese-line.
As such, I last year bought the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar in WG. No doubt this is a quite thrilling watch thanks to both its complications and excellent design.
Nevertheless how much I enjoy the Perpetual Calendar, I´ve always been fascinated by the Portuguese Automatic. When finally deciding to go for this classic beauty, the 5001-04 was the one.
Not only because it´s rare and to me is a collectable timepiece, but its design elements - especially the platinum case combined with its hands and arabic numerals, and silvered/white dial, are stunning. Much more stunning than my pictures can justify, but here´s "a few thousand words" to give you an impression.
Thanks for watching.
And finally...
Together with its other family member, the PPC (with its brown and black croc strap).
