Rolex reunion in Kabul Mon, 24 September 2012 16:21 Go to previous message

It's been a year in Afghanistan and almost time to go home. Needless to say, by now I know what everyone wears...until today. As I was heading back to my room, I passed a couple of our civilian contractors. The first thing I noticed of course was the Sub. I complimented his Submariner as he noticed mine. As I looked a bit closer, I let out a woah! A beautiful '67 Red Submariner.

Considering where we are, this is all it takes to make a person's day a little brighter.

For the photo op, I ponied up what happened to be his grail, a stainless Daytona.(When he mentioned how much he liked the Daytona, I went back to grab mine to share with him.)

Hublot, Rolex & vintage Seiko.
