Something new arrived today...

I've always been taken by the style of FPJ's watches, but realized most were out of my reach. Since I tend to favor more casual watches, when the bleu was introduced I took notice. I love wearing my tuna cans and others, so I wasn't sure about a 39mm watch. The fact is, 39mm-42mm are probably the perfect size for my wrist, and while I can pull off wearing the larger monsters and love doing so, it's nice wearing something that fits "just right". Would a 40mm version have been better? I don't know if it would have made much difference, but this 39mm seems to wear perfectly.
I don't want to bore those here, but the blue dial is striking. Its mirrored finish seems to reflect every version of blue in our universe depending on the angle of the wrist--it's spectacular. It goes from nearly black to the Electric Blue of my beloved (and now gone) 2002 MINI Cooper S. The polished tantalum is beautiful with a heft that gives the watch more gravitas. The movement? What can I say--it's a work of art. If this is entry-level, I can only imagine the finishing and quality of the more complicated Journes.
I'd love to know if anyone with this particular watch has put on other straps. I enjoy mixing things up with different straps on my other watches, and feel a dark burgundy would go well with the blue and gray of this one. Please show me any examples of the bleu on different straps.
