Hi everyone. Just wanted to share my latest incoming watch with you. But before that, a bit of background ...

For IWC, I'm primarily into their vintage watches. The more modern design look great too of course, but the simplicity, elegance and history of the older pieces speak to me more. The thought of owning watches with interesting / timeless movement designs (e.g. Pellaton winding, cal. 89) also appeals to me. So my first foray was a Ref. 816 Aquatimer ...



And now that I've got the "sea" part of the land, sea and air triumvirate, the next acquisition is a Pilot model for the air.

Apologies I only had time for a quick snap last night. In any case I am waiting for a period correct Bonklip style bracelet to complete the look; once that comes in I will put the watch on the wrist for the first time. I will likely interchange with standard NATO straps for a different look over time as well.
