Do you think Rock Stars and Watch makers are a good fit? Wed, 11 July 2012 16:38 Go to previous message

When the watchmaker is Girard Perregaux and the Rock Star is Dominique Loiseau I think they are a perfect fit.

As you may or may not know Dominique Loiseau and Girard Perregaux entered into an exclusive collaboration agreement earlier this year.

Dominique Loiseau (I call him a rock star of horology) has worked at the summit of complex horology for more than 30 years and is the creator of remarkable timepieces such as the six Montres de Sables, the Rose des Temps clock, the Renaissance or Capriccio pocket watches and the famed Blancpain 1735 wristwatch.

Last year at Baselworld 2011, he unveiled a complex masterpiece stamped with his own name for the first time, representing the world premiere birth of a new brand. The new timepiece, named 1f4, is a Grande Sonnerie Complication representing the culmination of a master watchmaker’s lifetime of accumulated knowledge. As one would expect from a master like Dominique Loiseau, his 1f4 brings major new developments and World Premiere patents to the Grande Sonnerie Complication, never before united within this class of timepiece (the Loiseau 1f4, is the most complicated automatic watch in the industry with eight patents in its movement.)

Furthermore in this year’s Robb Report "The Annual Best of the Best", June Special Edition, the Grande Complication Grande Sonnerie Loiseau 1f4 was unanimously selected as Number One from the men's watch multi-complication category.

It will be exciting to see what the partnership between Girard Perregaux and Dominique Loiseau will be producing in the future

STAY TUNED

Regards Kevin
