Confessions of a partial WIS...an ode to 8500 Sun, 17 June 2012 17:25 Go to previous message

Admittingly I had never been a big "movement " kind of watch enthusiast, instead mainly focusing on just how a watch looked and felt on the wrist.

The 8500 movement in the new omegas somehow awakened me. These are the first watches that I actually enjoy winding. Something great about feeling the nice tension while winding (compared to some past models that I didn't know if they were winding or not). I liked it in the AT so much it was the main factor in choosing the new PO

The longer reserve and the jump hour are huge improvements also. I find myself taking them off during the day, not because they are uncomfortable but because I really like ogling the display backs!
