Newbe questions Sat, 21 June 2008 07:29 Go to previous message

Hi,

I been into watches for quite some time, I have seen so many nice watch pictures on this web site so I decided to go and buy a camera. I bought a Canon 40D with 17-85 mm standard lins.

I have tried to take photos now for two weekends and I am not really happy with the result yet. First, to get the real close up photos, I need a macro lins (need to save some money first...)

What I find is that I cant get close enought to take good photos of the movement (I assume its because I dont have the macro lins yet, but are you zooming your pictures to get close, or is it "directly from the camera"?)

What zoom lins do you recomend for closeup photos? (100mm or enough with 60? or 150mm?????)

I attach some pictures that I just taken, please advice and give me your comment!!

Have a nice day!
