N E W M o d e l – Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronometer Savarona Thu, 11 October 2007 09:06

An exclusive to the Turkish market, this Maxi Marine features the Savarona yacth name on its dial and an engraving of the ship in the rotor.

Named for an African swan living in the Indian Ocean, the Savarona was designed by Gibbs & Cox in 1931 for American heiress Emily Roebling Cadwallader, granddaughter of John A. Roebling, engineer of the Brooklyn Bridge. The ship was built by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg, Germany. She is now owned by the government of Turkey.

The case, in 18kt rose gold, measures 43mm and has double sapphire crystals. It is also available in stainless steel. It is a limited edition of 99 pieces in gold and 150 in stainless steel.

The automatic UN caliber 26 is COSC-certified as a chronometer.

It is water resistant to 200 meters.

Thanks.

Jorge.
