N E W M o d e l – Perrelet Titanium Collection Fri, 04 May 2007 08:58

The launch of this new collection is a futuristic homage to the creative genius of Abraham-Louis Perrelet, 230 years after the automatic rewinding mechanism with oscillating weight was invented, and 210 years after titanium was discovered by a British chemist.

An extremely light, resistant metal, titanium is generally used in the aeronautic and automotive industries and for numerous biomedical applications. Titanium is one of the most frequently used materials within the high-tech engineering industry. Its aesthetic and mechanical properties have also ensured that its use has become de rigueur in the luxury watchmaking segment, winning a place at the heart of the Perrelet collections.

The solid titanium case measures 43.5mm in diameter. The crystal is sapphire, with AR coating and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

Movement is the automatic double rotor, calibre P-181, exclusively manufactured for Perrelet.

Thanks.

Jorge.
