NEW MODEL: Glashütte Original PanoTourbillon XL Wed, 11 April 2007 07:14

PRESS INFORMATION
Basel 2007

PanoTourbillon XL
Design and Horological Highlight
in an Attractive Size

This year Glashütte Original honors the traditional art of Glashütte watchmaking with yet another masterpiece of haute horlogerie: PanoTourbillon XL. With its progressive design, this model enriches the exclusive line of new Pano XL timepieces also being introduced this year.

This new treasure not only catches the observer’s eye with its case size of 42 mm, just as striking feature is the modernly arranged dial of the PanoTourbillon XL. The lavishly designed white gold dial is visually divided in two halves that contrast in black and silver while the zones for the various displays are based on the design of the new Pano XL line. The filigreed flying one-minute tourbillon is located in the upper dial half, which is silver. The lower half is dominated by the hour and minute display with its silver-colored Arabic numeral markers against a deep black galvanized background.

The PanoTourbillon XL is powered by the very fine manufacture movement Caliber 41-02. This manually wound movement including a flying tourbillon is outfitted with a lavishly designed differential mechanism, which also displays the remaining winding energy and a retrograde date display. Thus, the PanoTourbillon XL takes its place among the great complications of fine German watchmaking by Glashütte Original.

Glashütte Original represents a living, authentic manufactory, high exclusivity, traditional watchmaking since 1845, exclusive mechanical masterpieces, and “Handmade in Germany.”
