N E W M o d e l – Chopard L.U.C. Strike One Tue, 28 November 2006 09:30

From Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier comes the new Strike One repeater. It uses Chopard’s newest caliber, the LUC 96SH, which took two years to develop. The case, measuring 40.5mm is done in 18kt white gold, and is a limited edition of 100 pieces.

An opening at 12 o’clock allows viewing of the striking mechanism and of the hammer performing its strike. It strikes each passing hour exactly once. To achieve this, the mechanism provides for a period of several minutes the energy required to raise the hammer, and then releases it on each passing hour.

In addition to sounding the hours, the Strike One model offers date, hour and minute indications, as well as small seconds shown on a disc through an openworked subdial at 6 o’clock.

The LUC caliber 96SH has a power reserve of 65 hours, it is stamped with the Geneva Seal quality hallmark and is COSC-certified as a chronometer.

Thanks.

Jorge.
