Your favorite dial color? Mon, 15 October 2018 00:06 Go to next message

What is your favorite dial color(s)?

I think I really like them in black:

Have a great start to the week everyone...

I'll opt for these two colours.... Mon, 15 October 2018 06:49 Go to previous messageGo to next message

In wristwatches it would probably be silver - brushed silver to be precise.

In pocket watches it would be white, as in porcelain white :-)

I'm really conservative - black dials... Mon, 15 October 2018 11:19 Go to previous messageGo to next message

the majority of my watches have black dials, but I also like white and silver dials. I like the idea of colorful dials, but whenever I've had a watch with a different dial color - even blue - it just doesn't "feel right" to me and I end up selling it, etc. Panda, reverse panda is about as crazy as I'll get :^)

Black, white, blue or silver depending on the watch and most important is the contrast of the hands with the dial making it possible to tell the time without having to put my reading glasses on.....:-/

Black Mon, 15 October 2018 21:03 Go to previous messageGo to next message

Most of my watches have a black dial, so there must be some truth to this statement. White with a tiny bit of cream/beige comes second. All the other colours are too fancy for me, I am afraid they will bore me too quickly. I have one blue dial watch, that really is almost black. And the same for brown. And a beige sun ray. All very nice, but they don't get much wrist time.

Kind regards,
Paul

The big 3 reserve it for the very special pieces.

I was quite close to getting the RO Jubilee years ago but passed up because even though the watch looks amazing, it didn't look as good on my wrist.
