Good morning everyone. On my way to work on SoCal's Commuter Express to DTLA and checking in on my favorite watch topic, dive watches. Was at a Panerai store recently to look st their submersibles. They have quite a few models. What are your thoughts on the brand and their submersible specific models? Do you have a favorite submersible?
Wow, 20 clicks and no opinions. Guess this forum is not fans of Panerai? Anyhow I'm quite drawn to the pam1389. Love the ceramic bezel and titanium case. The dial is quite different than their other submersibles though.
Many options for PAM Submersible. But I just love PAM 25. Titanium case, 44mm diameter, and more affordable price is good for me. Unfortunately this model has been discontinued.
You can choose the model you like. Good luck.
Glad you like PAMs. I do think the titanium case is great. It's amazing the number of variants they have on the submersible. The new BMG tech metal looks interesting. Keeps it looking new and not easy to show wear.

Love 'em. Didn't go with Submersible as my first Panerai, instead opted for 1312 which I really like, but got my eye on the 1389 (or 1305) as well. Go for it!

Panerai submersible

If you are not concerned with the price drops / fluctuations and simply want a good tool watch, Panerai is a good choice. Judging by demand in the last year, they will be a good "value buy" for the foreseeable future. Just don't plan to get a fair dollar return in the near future. Simply an opinion.

I personally own two panerai's which have reached bottom dollar prices. I have taken a hit from what I paid to what they are worth in the market today. But since both pieces are Limited Editions, I do believe that with time I will see the price come back up.
I have owned a few Panerai submersibles and currently have a 1305. I have had zero problems with any of them and I have always enjoyed having one in the rotation as they are unique compared to the general Rolex Submariner look. I have also owned several Rolex subs through all ranges of the lineup and they have been great watches as well. I have a large wrist and am a sucker for the ability to have 20 straps to interchange on a watch so the Panerai's are fun watches for me.

I've always been attracted to Panerai, especially to their Submersible line. One of my favorites is their Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic :) The watch checks all the required qualifications of a true diver tool watch as well as looks great on land. :)
