BASELWORLD 2018 - Harry Winston Ocean Biretrograde Perpetual Calendar Thu, 29 March 2018 11:34

The Harry Winston Ocean Collection celebrates its 20th anniversary with an extraordinary complication timepiece, the Ocean Biretrograde Perpetual Calendar Automatic.

The case, in 18kt rose or white gold, measures 42.2mm x 11.9mm. It has doulbe AR-coated sapphire crystals and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

Movement is the Swiss automatic Harry Winston in-house caliber HW3501 with 34 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 3 days. It features a flat silicon balance spring and an 18kt white gold engraved openworked rotor with circular Côtes de Genève decoration. Functions are: hours and minutes, retrograde date and days, months, leap year indicator, and moonphases.

A series of concentric circles on the dial of this perpetual calendar creates an orderly sequence of data display and buffer zones. The grained flange, which matches the color of the case, is reserved for the day and the date. Next comes a satin-finish thread that widens to include the Harry Winston emerald applique at 12 o'clock. The following ring is the hour circle, where Arabic numerals alternate with luminescent hour markers. A spiral latticework surrounds the heart of the dial and features a Clou de Paris motif. Set at 12 o'clock, the month sub-dial features a large skeletonized hand and includes the leap year indicator. Balance is provided by the moonphase at 6 o'clock. The dial includes satin-finished, grained, polished and textured patterns.

It comes on a blue or brown alligator leather strap with an 18kt white or rose gold ardillon buckle or a folding clasp.

It can be had as well with 67 baguette-cut diamonds in a limited edition of 20 pieces.

Thanks.
