Re: A Sneak Peek at the upcoming Breitling Colt Chronometer

44mm is a desk clock in my world.
I find watches with similar sized hands very difficult to read at night, especially on the hour when the lume creates two long and similar lines (is it 11:00 pm or 11:55 - do not laugh this has happened to me and I have sold watches because of it).
That said, I like the simplicity of the face and really like the second hand.
Not sure if it has the Tudor movement in it but if it does it would not be unreasonably priced either.

I like it! Colt is Breitling's basic / entry-level line so this watch fits in well with that aesthetic. It's got design elements - namely the rider tab bezel - that clearly identify it as a Breitling. It appears that Mr. Kern is influencing the design direction to lend some simplicity and timelessness to Breitling's pieces which IMHO is the right approach and what attracts the majority of folks to a brand (you want to feel like the watch you're buying today will look good 1 or 5 years from now). If you're looking for something more one-off or unique, no shortage of watch brands who will sell you that, but I don't think that's Breitlings target, nor do I think it should be.

Wow, I love it. They kind of over cleaned that dial. Would have been not so austere if they kept the winged logo. Thank God they kept the Breitling bezel, otherwise I would confuse it with an IWC diver.
