FS: Rolex Explorer II 16550 (Transitional) black dial Thu, 22 February 2018 03:09

For sale is my Rolex Explorer II 16550. This is the "transitional" model made only between 1984 and 1988. This particular watch dates to 1985 based on the serial #. It keeps accurate time and is in an excellent condition given its age. TZ ranking a solid 90-92%.

The watch is a very comfortable 40mm in diameter. The movement is Rolex's caliber 3085, which is the same certified chronometer as they put in the GMT Master 16760, meaning that the hour hand is independently adjustable (it 'jumps' from hour to hour as you turn the crown in position one) so that you can properly track a second time zone. This is also how the date is set, and this can be safely done both forward and backward.

Comes with the oyster bracelet (aftermarket) and a black leather strap, both pictured. No original box or papers for this model; I will include an aftermarket box.

$4500 net to me shipped CONUS(Bank transfer or buyer pays PayPal fees). International shipping extra. For questions, contact me at hayzen11(at)yahoo.com
